After another journey into the unknown a lone figure walks back into the fires of lyrical combat and with a quick slash of his audio katana Maverick Da Roninn has just taken down multiple opponents with the dropping of Libra Complex Maverick takes a raw approach in this album.
The masterful use of basslines, some creative snare riffs, strings and various other techniques I can’t lie being a drummer I am a big fan of the use of heavy percussions in this album. Maverick style this time around is edgy, but it gives you a sense of a quiet calm before the storm comes, slaying all of your opponents in bloody lyrical combat!
He definitely set up the listeners to be surprised with his musicianship on this one. I definitely enjoyed Bankai featuring Dar-Ken and Kryciz. This song reached out to me on a transcendent level because it feels like the showdown between two powerful samurai in an epic battle and we are finally in the last moments where only one will be the victor. Of course we know the winner is Maverick hands down when he unleashes those bars in the form of a getsuga tensho, may his opponents rest in peace after being slayed by such worthy verses. Z Warrior was the last song on this album and it finishes off Libra Complex perfectly the perfect crescendo that rips apart the final enemy on the lyrical arena of combat.
Maverick Da Roninn sheaths his katana and walks off into the sunset to pursue the next challenge. This album earns a 9 out of 10 from Geek-E Inc productions. I don’t know how Maverick Da Roninn is going to top this one but I am pretty sure he will find a way, so until next time people give this album a good listen and be prepared to be rocked hard.
